Well it's another great Queensland day!

Just for a change I thought I would say something, show something,  about where I live on the Gold Coast, Australia for anyone who may be reading this overseas and is interested...

The City of Gold Coast is Australia's sixth largest city with a population heading for 750,000 approximately and rapidly growing.

There is always so much happening here with theme parks the biggest selection in the southern hemisphere and shopping centres are many. So much going on with luxurious high rise apartments being built and they are mostly sold before they are even completed or even at the planning stage. Many are cash buyers from southern states and people returning to Australia from overseas after the Covid lock downs. Freedom...YEAH !!

I live between the beach and the river. Not a good combination some would say in these days of climate change but far enough away from the beach and high enough not to worry about the river. ๐Ÿ˜€

Local shops within walking distance for coffee or lunch. Considering what's happening in the world we are truly blessed here.

Plenty of beaches...and quiet reflective places also...

In fact 57 km of beaches stretch one white sandy beach after another. Lots of famous surfing spots that enthusiasts from all around visit and enjoy. If you're into diving there's plenty of those spots also. Plus national parks to wander through. If you want night life there's plenty of that and fabulous restaurants, cafes and coffee shops and a good public transport system..

Blue skies, peace and quiet, and everything in between. A sub tropical climate with around 300 days of sunshine per year.

During summer the average temperature is a pleasant 21c-28c (69.8 - 83.1F) Rainy days typically fall in December to February.

In autumn March-May sunny days are followed by warm nights. Autumn temp fall between 16c - 26c (61 - 77F)

Winter June - August on the Gold Coast are generally sunny and dry with comfortable temps of 11c - 21c (52 - 70F)

Many Australians escape the cooler weather in our southern states and holiday in Queensland at this time of the year. The humidity is lower, there is less rain, but the temperature is usually nice and warm.

Spring September - November offers sunny days followed by mild tropical evenings. Temps fall between 15c - 25c (59F - 77F)

We can get some cool winter days( I always say the longer you live here the softer you get..meaning what's cold to a Queenslander is not necessarily cold to someone else) but never see a frost...thankfully ๐Ÿ™

Sunshine Coast is a two hours drive north by car. Also a beautiful place. Brisbane city central to both.
