A beautiful very early morning sunrise at the beach across from where I live.

Just love these palm trees! (not the ones grown for the palm sugar and palm oil industry as in my next blog 😡)

                                                                       End of an era... Today it was something quite different. It was the scattering of a friends ashes, on an outgoing tide,  combined with the ashes of his partner Malcolm.  The two drifting out to sea together on yet another journey. Peter was an older man who, lets say, was at a complete loss when his partner of around sixty years died several years ago. They had spent a lifetime together since meeting in their twenties. January 6 riots ..as an outsider looking in.

After January 6 2021 and all that we have learned since the riots and the threat to democracy that took place, and that at least seven people lost their lives in connection with these riots, let us hope we never see anything like this ever again. I'm sure many would agree it was unbelievable, disgraceful and something that should never have occurred. The rest of the world looked on in horror, amazement, that such a disruptive force allowed this to happen. Many hope for a more united America and much less divisive, as in the past, as we move forward for the sake of the United States and for the sake of the world in general. We have enough unease and disruption world wide at the moment...we certainly don't need any more!  As ex President Trump talks of lawlessness at the moment but fails to acknowledge the damage and destruction of a failed coup, to contest the election which he lost, and yet still states it was rigged and that he won. https://youtube.com/shorts/3KFK2U9rAzQ?featu...

Oh to be less than perfect..

People are funny...Why do they state the obvious? Why say anything at all? 😖 After playing sports and basket ball ( at my height if you saw me you would ask the usual question I have been asked a million times before...being tall that is... "Do you play basketball?" 😣 )  I have some hip pain for which I occasionally take tablets. Today while doing some garden work I must have strained "something" and as I was walking out a lady I often say hello to said almost in some kind of shock..."You have a limp!" What can you say in reply...really...I mean..😡 stating the obvious as I try my best to walk normally. I felt like saying .."So?" but didn't of course.  It's almost as though because of the said limp...slight limp I add...I should be whisked off to some kind of internment camp for damaged people for the less than perfect😆 I wouldn't mind but a few weeks previously someone else said exactly the same thing.."You have a limp!"...
