As an outsider looking in...as it were...does anyone really think there could be a second coming of  Donald Trump as President once again?

Have to admit I'm surprised nothing has happened yet regarding the January 6 2021 insurrection when a mob of more than two thousand Donald Trump supporters stormed the capital building in Washington. Five people have since died and many were injured. It was just shocking vision and we were all amazed that could possibly be allowed to happen. To see the capitol building wrecked, so much damage done and the place locked down, lawmakers, numerous staff quickly ushered to safety.

Nothing has still been proven that the election outcome was false but the unending questions and conspiracy theories continue to this day some fourteen months later. 

President Trump at the time at a "Save America" rally in The Ellipse, sometimes referred to as President's Park just south of the White House, repeated unproven claims of election irregularities and continued speaking to the crowd "If you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore". 

That's when the crowd marched on to the capitol building fired up and ready for "some action" with chants of "Hang Mike Pence" after he rejected the false claims that he could overturn the election and re-instate Donald Trump as President once again. 

Since January 6 more than $30 million has been spent on repairs to the building and office equipment and up-date security measures. 800 people have been charged for the riot so far, some being members of  the Oath Keepers, Proud Boys and the Three Percenters.

Later that day when the damage had been done and footage was shown around the world Donald Trump told his supporters to "go home in peace".

Most people know of this and what happened but the questions remain what did Donald Trump and White House officials at the time actually know about the attack on the Capitol?

A week later Donald Trump was impeached for incitement of insurrection making him the only US President to have been impeached twice. He was subsequently acquitted for a second time by a vote along party lines I understand.

That's why I ask the question will there ever be a second coming of Donald Trump?

The January 6 committee is still investigating  and at this stage is waiting, demanding, communication records of Trump staffers, allies, and family. Today in the news there seems to be so many unanswered questions...still! It just drags on and on and...

As The Lincoln Project on Instagram just stated... "Don't be distracted. There's a war in Ukraine, a war on our democracy at home, and upcoming mid terms. Let's get to work".

Trouble at both ends of the scale......

Firstly //    It's called "elder abuse" and it seems to be growing for some unexplainable reason.  In some cases it's neglect...pure and simple... but in most it's stealing money that isn't yours from parents that are not able to look after themselves, or their money, properly. Often without them even knowing until it's far too late. Maybe as money becomes tighter for some...but even then that's no excuse!  Just reading about a case locally where a son living in another state stole...yes stole... over a million dollars from his elderly mother. Transferring the money from her account over a period of a few years and also used her debit card in unauthorised purchases for his own use. Leaving her with very little in her bank account to survive. She had no idea until it was almost all gone. Really who can you trust if you can't trust your own family...beyond belief really isn't it but it seems this is a common occurrence. More common than we think.

Just day dreaming....

  Just a pleasant quiet place I like to sit and ponder on things. Where I've been, where I'm going, you know the usual stuff. Watching the world go by as I sit under the shade of a tree listening to the birds singing and appreciating life around me. It's been a long and often bumpy ride to where I am today and who knows what tomorrow may bring. All good things we hope. That's what I always say anyway...as I buy another lottery ticket!😊 There always has to be something to look forward to or what's the point.  There is so much sadness in the world right now I know. Has there ever been a time when there wasn't any sadness in the world. If there was, I can't remember just when. There are people still preaching the end of the world as we know it and the doomsday clock, as it's called, is ever approaching the bewitching hour. Should we be nervous...should we be scared? I guess so but we seem to have been living "on the edge" for so long now I guess

On a lighter note...

 Do you talk to your pet? Of course you do, everyone does, although some would not admit to it 😃 "How did you sleep?...have any dreams?" I ask as I uncover my parrot...YES parrot!! I know..I know..but we all do it 😏 "Just going out now...see you soon", as I leave the apartment, I call to a bewildered looking bird alone in her cage..sorry house...don't like the term cage...think I have mentioned that before. On return "Hello love👋👋," and met with screams of welcome home or in bird language it could just  mean ...LET ME OUT.....LET ME OUT you idiot leaving me alone...what are you thinking...expletive..expletive!!  Which of course I obey and once the welcome scratches and more talking has taken place, she takes up residence on the bed...or the lounge...or the drawer, whichever is the preference that moment.
